I haven't seen any blogs out there for older MTF transitions, so I thought I'd start my own.
I'm married, 66 years old and started HRT on Nov 19 2013. I am on estradiol patches and spirolactine. At this point the only thing noticeable is soreness in my breasts. They are very tender, and can hurt if I bump into something. I think there might be a slight reduction in bodily hair but i think it's still too early to tell. I still have to shave my breasts, which I hope to stop doing at some point. I know not to expect changes in my beard growth, so I will be starting beard removal via laser and electrolysis in a few weeks.
How does the wife feel about this? She's not exactly thrilled, but she has been tolerant. She frequently helps me dress, particularly with ear rings.
I only got my ears pierced in late October. My ear lobes are quite thick and I think it will take a long time for the piercings to not be a problem.
I wear CZ studs during the week at work, where I continue to present male.
Presenting female is a once or twice a week thing for me. However, I always wear panties, girls jeans and blouses to work whenever I can. What they don't know :)
I also strut around the house in the evenings and weekends in fem attire. Sleep in women's nightgowns. Wear heels a lot during most times of the year, but lately have been wearing warm, fuzzy, very feminine slippers. When I'm out and about presenting male, I still wear girls flats quite a bit. They are so comfy!
Here's a few pictures. The first one is after a session from a girlfriend on how to put on makeup. The second one is within a pricy wig.
I belong to a few transgender groups, and it's just awesome to get together with the other girls and spend time.
As you can see, I have quite a ways to go. Wife and I went to jewelry party last night, got myself a pearl necklace and bracelet.
I hope to keep adding to this blog.
Would be nice to hear from similar transgirls out there.
